  • Sidely raises 1 million euros from Business Angels and the BPI to modernize its Field CRM.

  • The start-up addresses a specific need: more than 2/3 of companies with a geographical approach are not equipped with a CRM.

  • The product compensates for the shortcomings of historic solutions deemed too complex, expensive, and unsuited to the needs of SMEs.

  • The platform offers a mobile, accessible, and "no-code" approach to guarantee optimal adoption by sales representatives.

  • The company already has over a hundred clients, including Grain de Sail and Club Maté.

  • These new funds will help accelerate R&D to strengthen decision-making intelligence and the tool's integrations.

Sidely, the CRM that puts a geographic approach at the heart of business development, announces a fundraising of 1 million euros, from Business Angels and BPI, to modernize the field CRM market, pursue the development of its product, and strengthen its team.

Sidely addresses the lack of equipment for field sales teams

Sidely - which means aux côtés de (by the side of) in French - was born in October 2021 to support brands and their field salespeople.

The solution was developed based on a clear observation: despite a rapidly expanding market, the rate of CRM equipment in companies with a geographical approach to their business development remains below other sectors. More than 2/3 of them do not use a CRM. This is due to several reasons.

  • CRM solutions are too complex to implement: 50% of CRM projects fail, according to Forrester Research.

  • CRMs are too complex to use: less than 40% of CRM customers have an end-user adoption rate above 90%, according to CSO Insights. In addition, traditional sales CRMs are not adapted to the geographical approach.

  • CRM solutions are inaccessible to VSEs and SMEs due to high implementation and usage costs.

Sidely was designed and built for the specific job requirements of field sales representatives in order to ensure maximum adoption rates. The solution is simple to use and set up, accessible for VSEs/SMEs, and meets mobility constraints, with a web platform and iOS and Android mobile applications that work with or without an internet connection.

“Despite the high digitalization of the professional world, field sales solutions have evolved very little over the past 20 years. Legacy players offer expensive and complex solutions, both to set up and to scale.,” explains Arthur D’Achon, CEO of Sidely.

A fundraising to create the European leader in field CRMs

Sidely raised funds from Business Angels, experts in tech and distribution, including Eugen Gossen, co-founder of Stello, Philippe Reboul, former national sales director of Coca-Cola, Thibaud Hug de Larauze, CEO and co-founder of Back Market, and Julien Stern, co-founder of Universign, to become a major player on a European scale in field CRM solutions.

“ We dedicated all our energy to democratizing access to field CRM by offering a modern, accessible SaaS software designed to make daily life easier for sales professionals. This funding allows us to continue investing in R&D in order to bring even more intelligence to our tool. ” Arthur d’Achon, CEO of Sidely.

Sidely is disrupting the market and the use of field CRM by offering a simple, intuitive, mobile solution at an affordable cost and with no implementation fees. Experiencing strong growth since its commercial launch two years ago, this fundraising will allow the company to accelerate its development.

Fundraising to develop an innovative product that meets market needs

Sidely was founded by Arthur d’Achon, Alexis Lecomte, and Adrien Jonquet.

The product was co-built with dynamic and innovative companies seeking modernity for their business development, ensuring a perfect alignment between Sidely and market needs.

“ We conducted hundreds of interviews with our future users and industry experts. Sidely has been and continues to be shaped by the concrete needs of sales directors and field sales representatives. ”, explains Alexis Lecomte, CRO of Sidely.

The SaaS solution has always aimed to meet the needs of field sales representatives by offering a mobile, accessible, and simple solution. Since its launch in October 2021, Sidely has already convinced more than a hundred brands, including Grain de Sail, C’est qui le patron ?! and Club Maté.

“ The modernity of the technologies used allows us to offer a scalable solution, specifically adapted to the requirements of businesses in the market. Sidely can be configured directly by our customers, without the need for technical skills, thanks to our “no-code” approach. “ Adrien Jonquet, CTO of Sidely.

With this funding round, Sidely wishes to accelerate the development of its ambitious R&D department, regularly offering new features and product improvements, notably focusing on more customization, providing more relevant and easy-to-analyze information gathering, more native integrations with salespeople's daily tools, and more intelligence, making Sidely a true decision-making aid tool.
